Improve the management of your inventory and your logistics with Qlik Sense !
This year Qlik World conference was held online in early May 2021. We have taken the time to go through the important themes and new features offered by Qlik to keep you informed about them. One of the topics we find every year is the best visuals on Qlik Sense.
In this article, we have chosen to present two new tips among thirty new features made available for 2021.

Barcodes 128 in Qlik
Qlik’s mission is to bring all of your company’s data together and under one platform. So, can you imagine being able to follow the flow of your products, thanks to their barcodes, inside your Qlik Sense application? It is now possible!
Indeed, based on a sequence of numbers or letters, Qlik allows you to display barcodes. You can then do what you want with them: print them, scan them with a PDA, etc.
Just put the following CSS in a template or in a multi-KPI :

Once the code is set up, simply add a table with your product dimension and the value of your barcode in another column (whether text or number).Then, Qlik Sense takes care of the rest and displays the barcode for you.
Free mapping
You may already be familiar with the ‘classic’ maps that Qlik offers. These maps are used to display data by specific area or geographic point.
So how can these cards help you manage your inventory?
That’s thanks to the fact that Qlik Sense allows you to create your own maps. Indeed, you could, for example, create the map of your warehouse and fill in the location of each rack. The user can then select the rack on the Qlik card and see all the products that need to be there, quantities, barcode, etc.
