What’s new at WeQan ?
New colleagues :
We are more than happy to introduce our new consultant Olivier, who joined us in January. With skills in Python and Qlik, Olivier brings us a fresh look, a new vision within the team, his talents for data and his analytical mind: everything to satisfy our customers!
We also welcomed in March Lorraine, our new intern in Sales & Marketing for the next 6 months. Sparkling, creative, professional, it is a real pleasure to work with her.

Our expertise in action : focus on our customers projects
Here is an overview of the latest client projects we have worked on :
- Advanced reporting application on Nprinting tasks: the new version of NPrinting gives very detailed information on the execution of automatic report sending tasks. To exploit this information, a new dashboard has been developed by us to ensure that all tasks run smoothly and that all recipients receive their reports.
- Construction of a dashboard that tracks sales performance: new logo, cross-sell, volume tracking and sales amount. Setting up alerts with Qlik Alerting on the SaaS.
- Comparative audit of Qlik versus Power BI.
- Development of a Power BI reporting in a few days on project management (data from Business Central).
- Power BI training at several clients.
- Implementation of an SSIS-QlikSense-Nprinting monitoring application.
- Human resources: Development of a skills self-assessment application for our consultants with Data entry on Qlik SaaS.
- Simplified enforcement of row-level security rules in Power BI Desktop.
Qlik and Power BI updates
Qlik News :
Qlik continues to offer new features all the time. February was a particularly busy month, with notable improvements for customizing and managing dashboards. We would like to highlight some of them (our favorites) :
- Qlik Sense :
Background images and custom colors on the sheets that allow to divide them into section and add images.
Customizing the font to use for titles and footnotes in tables, scatter charts, and text/image objects.
- Qlik Cloud :
The ability to use Amazon Redshift as a cloud data platform in Qlik Cloud Data Integration.
Adding a centralized page to monitor automations.

Power BI News :
Power BI also stands out this quarter by offering an ever more flexible user experience, through new visuals, more attractive functionalities, as well as by improving the modeling process.
Few examples :
- Optimized conditional formatting that allows customizing, basing conditional formatting rules on text type data.
- Added ability to indent text in text boxes.
- Change in modeling with new DAX LINEX and LINESTX functions which are used to produce linear regression lines.
