Expert Consultant – Data Solution Architect/ Data Warehouse

WeQan is looking for a Data Solution Architect / Data Warehouse Consultant !

As an expert, you will support our customers to take control of their data and getting value out of it by defining a reference architecture for them. Working closely with business leaders and IT teams, you will define and implement a roadmap on data management, business intelligence or analytics solutions.

Your job:

• Examine our customers data, processes, and technologies to evaluate the current state and critical problems
• Design advanced conceptual, logical and physical data organizations, models, repository, dashboards, reports within a complete functional and technical architecture.
• Collaborate with other architects, infrastructure and software experts to define metadata layers, technical strategy and optimal integration within existing customer IT landscape.
• Translate to technical designers or developers designed solution, review proposed solution and optimize it when required.
• Participate to the definition of testing strategy.
• Ensure business access to adequate, understandable, accurate data.
• Design, develop and continuously improve supporting activities (automation of versioning and release management, scheduling, security models, impact assessment of new changes …)
• Ensure project delivery applying best-in-class principles with regards to data management, data warehouse, data integration, data migration, business intelligence, analysis, and customer acceptance.

You will have to manage several projects in parallel, mostly independently, and sometimes in a team with colleague(s). Project size varies at WeQan from 1 or 2 days diagnosis at customers or ad-hoc coaching of customers using our solutions to several months from AS IS analysis to deployment of customized data solutions.

Besides the “projects” assignments, you will also have an internal role in developing the team and contribute to talent development – mainly job appraisals and coaching of junior data analysts.

You are required to work with IT and business decision-makers, mostly financial, sales and production managers. We mainly focus on SMEs in diverse and varied sectors, such as industry, services or insurance.

Official partner of the Qlik solution for several years, we have developed a strong expertise and are mainly active in Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Nprinting, Qlik Data Integration. We also work on Datawarehouse projects and other BI solutions such as Microsoft Power BI.

Our team is made up of twelve people, including passionate consultants and experts in their field. Our data scientists, specialized in Artificial Intelligence, also help our customers to develop predictive analysis solutions, aimed at improving their performance.

A good part of our projects are done remotely, and we devote one day per week to training support and other internal projects.
