Most Qlik Sense® users consume their applications through the software’s Hub. There are also Qlik Sense® analyses embedded in web pages, without the need for authentication.
But with the latest versions, it is even possible to share specific applications, sheets or objects on Microsoft® Teams without authentication.
This is because when you use the Microsoft® suite, users are listed in the Azure Active Directory. Since Qlik Sense® users are also Active Directory users, the credentials are the same for both Qlik Sense® and the Microsoft® suite.
One of the barriers to the acceptance of Bi tools is the fact of having to connect to a third party platform. As long as the user remains in their usual work environment, they have easier access to shared analysis.
Whether your work was created on the SaaS or On-Premise version, you can share it with a simple link. All the features of the Micro interface will be preserved (exports, editing, snapshots, filters, etc.).
In this article you will learn how to integrate your analysis sheets in Teams .
In the “Teams” section, click on the desired channel and then click on the “+” button
Here, select “Website” and you will be able to paste any Application / Sheet / Object link.
Simply copy the link of your application when you are on your browser:
Same principle as for the applications, simply copy the link from the browser when you view your sheet and paste in the integration window mentioned above.
If you wish to configure the elements to be displayed, go to : ” … ” at the top left of the interface then ” Incorporate a sheet ” then configure according to your needs:
Then click on “open preview in new tab” and copy the link from the page that opened. Paste it into the integration window mentioned above.
Same way as for the sheets, click on “…” then on “share” then “integrate”, and finally “open the preview in a new tab”.
Copy the link from the page that opened and paste it into the integration window mentioned above.
As you can see, the integration is done quickly and benefits from a very good ergonomics in the Teams interface. It is also possible to share a visual on platforms such as WordPress by embedding a link in HTML format.
You can also download your visuals in PDF format and send them. The sharing links take into account the selection states of the parameters, which makes it very easy to share an analysis. Good to know: Once an app/leaf/object is added to a teams channel, all users who have access to this teams channel also have access to the app/leaf/object.
